A company is suing rapper Jay-Z for $10 Mio. for the use of the signature paper planes logo. The company is claiming the Jay used the logo on Major League Baseball hats without the permission to do so.
Reports from TMZ say that Iconix Brand Group spent about $204 Mio. for the rights of the paper plane logo and that it holds the full licensing for it.
Iconix Branding Group is focusing of the use of the logo in MLB merchandise. Especially on t-shirts and baseball hats. Other brands like Lids, New Era and even the San Francisco Giants are being sued alongside from ROC Nation.
